INDEXING DOCUMENTED INFORMATION OF IEEE XPLORE

Abstracting & Indexing (A&I) Databases

Find your article in popular scientific databases. IEEE helps to promote your article with active partnerships with abstracting and indexing database providers.

IEEE has active partnerships with the following abstracting and indexing (A&I) providers:

  • Scopus (Elsevier)
  • Web of Science (Clarivate Analytics)
  • ProQuest
  • IET (The Institution of Engineering and Technology)
  • NLM (US National Library of Medicine)
  • CrossRef

IEEE sends regular updates to all their A&I partners when new articles are uploaded into the  IEEE Xplore® Digital Library .

IEEE does not control how long the A&I service will take to process the article. We recommend you allow 12 weeks from when your article first appears in IEEE Xplore to search for the article in an A&I service. If you are unable to find your article in an A&I service after 12 weeks have elapsed, contact discoveryservices@ieee.org with your article DOI to request assistance.

IEEE Xplore is indexed by Google, enabling  article to appear in pertinent Google search results.

If the article identifies the U.S. National Institutes of Health (NIH) as a source of funding in a footnote on the first page, your article will be automatically deposited to PubMed Central (PMC) on your behalf to comply with funder requirements.

Corresponding author listing in Web of Science

In Web of Science the term “reprint author” indicates the corresponding author of a published article. If Web of Science lists an incorrect reprint author for your article published in an IEEE journal, use our online form to submit a change request. IEEE will review your request and, if verified, will submit the request to Web of Science on your behalf. Please allow 4-6 weeks for the correction to appear in Web of Science.
